Acting Style:

Praised for her commitment to roles, stemming from her method acting, Nancy spent time talking with homeless people for her portrayal of Homeless Child in Breaking the Bank, researched Conjunctivitis for her role as Aggie Radcliffe in Doctors, learned how to fit a lock on a door for her role as Nancy in Fiver Live, Dyed her hair brown, permed it and learned a cockney accent for her role as Alice in ...And Not Heard, studied early English history and lifestyles for her role as Afriel in Arcane, leaned to strum a guitar, improvise, busk , cry on cue and slept in a tent for several nights for her role as Sammy in East, learned how to dance hip hop style for her role in the music video Surma by Nish Ezay and missed haircuts, washes and sleep for her roles in Safeguarding (Katie) and Combating Stigma (Child Jo). Nancy's brand of method acting includes employing whatever tactic she feels is necessary to elicit the best performance from herself and those with whom she is working. During the filming of Doctors for example, she was 'glued' to and played games with, including a messy water fight with co-star Jonathan Kerriganin order to enhance and authenticate the closeness, love and fun demonstrated by their onscreen characters.
